(A) Fulda, a quiet provincial town in the middle of Germany
“We demand for our children the same right to both parents as well as to grandparents, siblings and relatives.
For this reason join us, for a new family policy, for the rights of the child to both parents immutable, as enshrined in the constitutional laws.
Horst Köhler, our Federal President once said:
“The raising of children is not a women’s issue, but a parents issue.”
But these parents issues can quickly turn into the exclusive woman’s domain, as practice in Germany has proved.
We demonstrate here for equality of men and women, we want those equal opportunities policies that are now applied for women for over decades to be applied for men as well.
“All children need both parents”, that is our message, here for Fulda.
On our first demo in Fulda, we want to mention these deficits. As previously announced, the demonstration in Fulda will take place on Saturday, October 4, 2008. The topics are important and have the focus attention of the media:
- Equal rights of the child to both its mother and father
- Joint custody also for non-marital fathers from birth
- Enforcement and protection of the contact and access rights of the child
- Observance of international law
- Human rights violations corrected
Bring friends and acquaintances with you and set out flyers everywhere.
- We will meet at 11:00 hours at Fulda main trainstation and from there we will then march with intermediate stations to Fulda Cathedral (Dom) and the Fulda Familycourt (Fulda Amtsgericht) to end our rally finally on the University Square.
- Both at Cathedral Square (Domplatz) and in front of the familycourt (Amtsgericht Fulda), speeches will given.
- At the end we will massively let our air balloons ascend.
- Trike’s will be available for our children.
- Finally we wiil meet at a barbecue joint to learn and exchange with each other.
The county association of Fulda / Osthessen will be our local host and organiser of the demonstration.

Sleeping accomodation near Fulda
Cheap sleeping accommodation is made available on location:
To save you money, we have rented the gymnasium (http://www.arzell.de/) as possible sleaping accommodation. Foreign and nonlocal guests can sleap in the large gymnasium and will have breakfast served the next morning. Please bring sleeping bags and airmats with you yourselves.
In case of early registration (before September 15, 2008), the night in the gym is for free. The cost for breakfast amounts to about 4.00 euros. Since we have only a limited number of beds, we ask you for a quick registration. This allows us to plan and save your money.
Furthermore social gatherings are planned, on both the Friday before the Demo and the Saturday after the demo,. Costs (Barbecue, etc.) are based on current consumption.
For participants who like to stay in a guesthouse there is the opportunity to book a single room for 37.00 Euro or a double room for 35.00 euros per person including breakfast in close proximity: http://www.gasthof-zursonne.de
Planned activities for Friday 3 October 2008
